'browsing beauty' at Thames Art Gallery, Chatham

The Noiseborder Ensemble perform at the opening of 'browsing beauty' by Andrea Sunder-Plassmann and Sigi Torinus: Sound for the show also created by the Noiseborder Ensemble, and has been recorded on vinyl (LP).



Browsing Beauty will be exhibited in the Ground Floor Gallery of the Thames Art Gallery from October 30th until November 29th, 2009. An opening reception will take place on November 5th, 7pm at the Thames Art Gallery where the artists will be on hand to speak about their work. The Thames Art Gallery is located at 75 William Street N, Chatham, ON and open 7 days a week from 1-5pm.

This exhibition is presented in partnership with The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery and the WKP Kennedy Gallery.

The nature of listening, of performance, and of the integration of the visual with the auditory will be the focus of the performances on October 16 and 17 with a Toronto premiere of SUGARscape by Montréal's Nancy Tobin and performances by Contact Contemporary Music Ensemble of works by Christopher Fox and Brent Lee.
